Paddleboarding with Corran Addison from Imagine Surf

So, here's a funny story. We went to shoot with Corran Addison from Imagine Surf. We'd had such a frantic pace for our shooting schedule, that the producer didn't have time to give us the backgrounder on Corran. We went in to the paddleboard session at Dana Point, California, with no clue that Corran was an Olympic and World Champion slalom kayaker, then a famous surfboard shaper, and most recently he's been innovating the paddleboard world, and winning a few races along the way. He told us he'd, "paddled a bit" in the past. Dude. Humility rules. Corran took me out paddleboarding, showed me the "c" stroke, which I semi-got, the "j" stroke, and showed me how to turn on a dime, and I didn't dump once in the water. It actually worked so much better not knowing his background. Made for easy rapport, where everything was a cool discovery. The dude's a super stud that just lives what he loves ... and changes the watersport world along the way. Fun day. And, we got some nice GoPro footage that our bottom dweller friends are currently enjoying. Ha!

This is Corran with the hero pose on his super sleek racing board.

Cheers, Ty
